José Luis has been a lawyer since 2003 and joined Pragma Advogados in 2021.
He has practised in a wide range of professional environments. He worked for Telles Advogados for several years, where he specialised in commercial and corporate law, taking part in several company or group restructuring operations (mergers, spin-offs, transformations, and other forms of corporate reorganisation), and advised multiple national and foreign clients in the acquisition of all or part of the capital stock of companies. During this period, he also had the opportunity to advise clients on public-private partnerships in the area of hospital construction, and was involved in arbitration proceedings in the area of civil and corporate law. He was also a member of a group focusing specifically on supporting start-ups, particularly in investment rounds and contractual arrangements.
Since 2017, José Luis has been a company lawyer, part of the NOS Legal Department, where with the team he runs, he provides support to different areas within the group. His daily work particularly focuses on putting into practice his knowledge in the areas of privacy and personal data protection (GDPR), commercial and corporate law, labour law, as well as other areas.
