Pedro has practised as a lawyer since 2003, and is a founding partner of Pragma Advogados.

He has extensive experience in civil, inheritance, commercial and corporate litigation, as well as in financial intermediation, the subject of his master’s thesis.

As well as the bar, he has vast experience in corporate affairs, working on several reorganisation and restructuring processes for groups of companies, and in merger, acquisition and sale processes.

Pedro also advises and represents national and international clients in the launch and development of their business activities in Portugal.

He particularly focuses on extreme conflict lawsuits and procedures, that require great resilience and strategic planning, including: estate sharing procedures, company takeover processes, and conflicts between partners.

• Master’s degree in Law from the Portuguese Catholic University Law School, with his thesis titled “On the consequences of violating the financial intermediary’s duty of information within the scope of a portfolio management contract – Error-Vice and Liability” in 2014.
• Graduated from the Portuguese Catholic University Law School in 2001.
• Postgraduate degree in Commercial Legal Sciences, due to equivalence of attending the academic year for the Master’s Degree in Commercial Legal Sciences at the Catholic University Law School (Foz Hub) in the 2001-2002 academic year.
• Postgraduate Studies in Taxation from the Porto Higher Institute of Administration and Management in 2006.
• Postgraduate Studies in Banking, Securities and Insurance Law from the University of Coimbra Law School completed in 2012.

• Presiding Judge for the Porto Ethics Council of the Portuguese Bar Association, for the three-year period 2007-2010.
• Founder and President of the Porto Legal Association Board of Auditors, for the three-year periods 2005-2008 and 2009-2011, and currently a member of the Board of Auditors.
• Vice President of the Porto Yacht Club, from 2017 to present.
