CONTACTS

Amadeu has practised as a lawyer since 1976, and is a founding partner of Pragma Advogados.

He worked as a lawyer and was also a guest lecturer until 2007 at the Porto School of Economics Law Department, teaching Introduction to Law, Law of Obligations and Commercial Companies, both for the Economics and the Management degrees.

He practised mainly in private law, a field closely aligned with his preferences and teaching background.

Circumstances related to practising his profession resulted in Amadeu focusing on commercial companies, specifically company resolutions, and later, banking and financial law. He still works mainly in these areas today.

A champion of teamwork, he enthusiastically encourages internal discussion, particularly where required for a complex subject, to tease out the best solutions.

In 2020, he was awarded the Medal of Honour by the Portuguese Bar Association.
